According to the statistics of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the amount of construction waste in China has accounted for 30%-40% of the total amount of urban waste, and the old buildings demolished each year account for 40% of the total construction.

The steel structure house has the characteristics of high unit volume bearing capacity, convenient production and installation, short construction period, good seismic performance, easy reconstruction and demolition, high material recovery and high utilization rate, and is a “green industry” for harmonious and sustainable development of man and nature. . It is widely used in developed countries such as Europe, America and Japan.

As one of the earliest enterprises in the country to promote the industrialization of steel structure construction, as early as the end of the 1990s, Hangxiao Steel Structure began to focus on the research and development of residential steel structure system. In 2009, the largest steel-structured residential demonstration project designed and constructed by Hangxiao Steel, Wuhan Century Home, completed with a building area of 260,000 square meters, consisting of 11 high-rise buildings of 22-24 floors. The project adopts the reinforced concrete truss floor board independently developed by Hangxiao Steel Structure and has excellent performances such as light weight, sound insulation, heat preservation, waterproof and fireproof, and fills the domestic blank CCA inner and outer wall system. The whole main building can not see the clay brick. It is China's first fully domesticized high-rise steel structure residential construction project. It plays an important role in promoting the industrialization of steel structure housing in China.
